The main improvements in SEA.AI Software Release 4.3 include:
- More reliable alerts in choppy water. Breaking wave crests are less likely to be flagged as objects in rough sea states.
- Sharper tracking of nearby targets. Objects close together are held as separate targets and followed more consistently.
- Color Camera Fusion for Sentry. The RGB camera can now contribute AI object detections alongside the thermal cameras.
- Steadier live video. Streams recover automatically after brief network interruptions and provide additional controls for integrators.
- A simpler Sentry interface. Sentry adds 50/50 split dual view, adjustable display scale, and joystick brightness control.
- New thermal contrast profiles (Watchkeeper). Five presets to match the image to lighting and weather conditions.

More Reliable Alerts in Choppy Water
Release 4.3 reduces false detections caused by breaking wave crests in certain rough-water conditions. This improves alert reliability without removing the system’s ability to detect genuine objects.
For customers experiencing nuisance alerts in choppy water, this release directly addresses that issue.
Sharper Tracking of Nearby Targets
Release 4.3 improves tracking when multiple objects are close together.
For example, when several small boats, buoys, or pieces of debris are close to one another, the tracker is better able to maintain them as separate targets. This reduces lost or swapped tracks and provides more consistent target behavior in crowded scenes.
Steadier Live Video and More Streaming Control
Release 4.3 improves live video behavior when the network connection is interrupted.
Streams now recover automatically after brief network drops, remain visible through source restarts, and shut down cleanly when the application closes.
RGB Fusion: AI Detection from the Color Camera (Sentry)
RGB Fusion combines AI object detections from Sentry’s RGB color camera with detections from its thermal cameras.
With RGB Fusion, Sentry’s RGB camera can contribute its own AI detections rather than relying only on the thermal cameras. This provides an additional detection source for targets that may be difficult to detect with thermal imaging alone, including some conditions involving high humidity or heat-damped environments.
Detections from the available sensors are combined and displayed across the relevant fields of view.
RGB Fusion Setup on Existing Sentry Systems (Sentry)
RGB Fusion remains disabled by default on existing Sentry installations until an obstruction mask is created for the RGB sensor.
Setting up RGB Fusion requires running the camera obstruction mask diagnostic and uploading a mask for the RGB sensor alongside the existing thermal mask.
New Sentry installations from Release 4.3 onward ship with RGB Fusion already configured.

A Simpler, More Flexible Interface (Sentry)
Release 4.3 simplifies the Sentry interface and adds more control over how information is displayed.
50/50 Dual View
Dual view now supports a 50/50 split, giving operators an evenly divided view. The split can also be adjusted by dragging.
Display Scale Settings
A new Display Scale setting lets operators choose between Compact, Standard, and Large.
Compact displays more information on screen, while Large makes text and controls easier to read and use on touchscreens.
Adjustable Joystick Brightness
A new brightness slider lets operators reduce the brightness of the joystick button LEDs.
This addresses a recurring issue with bright controls being distracting during night operations.
Thermal Contrast Profiles (Watchkeeper)
Watchkeeper adds five new thermal contrast presets alongside the existing default profile.
The profiles allow operators to adapt the appearance of the thermal image to the lighting and weather conditions they are facing.
The selected thermal contrast profile can influence detection performance. Operators should therefore choose the profile deliberately rather than leaving the system on a setting that does not match the current conditions.

How to update your system
You can update your system in three simple ways:
