SEA.AI Secures €3M in Funding for Machine Vision Camera
SEA.AI continues to gain momentum. After making waves with its AI-based object recognition systems in ocean racing, the company now offers a broad product range. These products cater to sailing yachts, motor yachts, commercial vessels, and even search and rescue (SAR) and first responder applications.

€3M Series A SEA.AI Funding Round Secured
In its latest Series A funding round, SEA.AI successfully secured €3 million to support its next phase of growth. The funds will be invested in strengthening the company’s R&D, operations, sales, and marketing capabilities.
Founder Raphael Biancale attracted two highly experienced investors known for building successful businesses in and outside the marine sector.

Among the new investors is Stephan Schambach, one of Germany’s most successful IT entrepreneurs and a passionate sailor. Schambach previously served as the lead investor in electric mobility pioneer Torqeedo.
Joining him is Christoph Ballin, co-founder and former CEO of Torqeedo. Under his leadership, the company became a global leader in waterborne electric mobility.
With their support, Biancale is now backed by a strong team of shareholders, including former IMOCA class CEO Gaetan Gouerou and Austrian venture firm Invest AG. Together, they form the ownership of BSB Artificial Intelligence, the parent company of SEA.AI.
