Anti Collision Technology in Vendée Globe

Based on the past nine editions of the Vendée Globe, only around 60% of participants finish. Most withdrawals are caused by technical failures, and a significant number are the result of collision damage. As the 2024–25 Vendée Globe prepares to launch on 10 November from Les Sables d’Olonne, a majority of IMOCA competitors will carry a powerful ally on board: SEA.AI’s state-of-the-art anti collision technology.

This marks the second Vendée Globe where SEA.AI’s system will be installed on IMOCA-class yachts.
